You will also visit the Thien Hau temple and Nha Rong Wharf, where Ho Chi Minh himself, first left Vietnam in 1911. The Thien Hau temple was built in the early 19th Century and dedicated to Thien Hau, the goddess of seafarers.
After delving deep into the bustling Chinatown atmosphere, you will be ready for a traditional local Vietnamese lunch of "Pho" AKA noodle soup.
After lunch, you will explore the War Remnants Museum which was originally opened in September 1975 and is home to fascinating and sombre displays of old military equipment and other related items from the Vietnam War.
Finally, take a walking tour through downtown Saigon taking in sights such as Reunification Palace - formerly known as the Presidential Palace and the site of South Vietnam's surrender in 1975, Notre Dame Cathedral, the General Post-office, Opera house and other beautiful examples of architecture from the French colonial period.
