Get ready for Iona: one year and counting

With only 365 days to go until  P&O Cruises welcomes Iona into their cruise fleet, the excitement is mounting. It’s going to be an amazing year as the build takes shape and we look forward to sharing it with you every step of the way.

In one year’s time, Iona – P&O Cruises’ biggest, most innovative and greenest ship yet – will officially set sail, heralding an exciting new era of cruising for the fleet.

Iona is a ship like no other in so many ways. Take the amazing array of places to wine and dine (choose from 30 different venues, from poolside pick-me-ups to elegant fine dining). Then there’s the extraordinary variety of entertainment in SkyDome (the first of its kind at sea), Headliners theatre and the four-screen cinema. And where better to watch the world go by than the Grand Atrium, with its triple-deck windows, showstopping spiral staircase and stylish café? And, of course, when Iona launches in 2020, she’ll be the first passenger ship in the UK to be powered by LNG (liquified natural gas), the world’s cleanest burning fossil fuel.

Iona is the perfect way to enjoy some of the world’s most exhilarating destinations. For her inaugural summer season, she sets sail for the stunning Norwegian fjords. Her first winter season is one of sunshine and surprises in The Canary Islands, and cultural exploration in some of Northern Europe’s most exciting cities.

We’re counting down to  P&O Cruises most exciting launch yet, and we hope you’ll set sail onboard the Iona in 2020.
