  Brian has been extremely helpful in booking and arranging a 3 week trip from Ontario to Vancouver. His email replies are fast and he has been great at advising where to take certain excursions and has booked flights in addition to accommodation and car hire.   Brian was really helpful in sorting out our holiday for us. We did it all by email . Every time I asked a question Brian got back to me very quickly with the answer and I asked him a lot of questions!!. We ended up with a bespoke holiday which met our holiday budget and requirements. I would have no hesitation in recommending Brian and the team at Canada Travel Specialists.

  Brian was brilliant in helping me sort out the Alaska and Canada trip of a lifetime I was trying to book for 5 family members. Not only did he give great advice but he also answered all the queries I had. He put me under no pressure to book, their price was well under other quotes for an identical holiday and they even threw in an extra couple of tours free of charge. I would certainly recommend Barrhead travel so thanks again Brian for all your help.

  Brian provided a great service he listened to our remit and budget. The trip he has put together for us ticks all boxes, including Rocky Mountaineer Gold, Alaskan Cruise with Holland America, stays in the Rockies and Vancouver using good quality accommodation and a couple of tours. The trip is for ours and our friends wedding anniversaries. We have travelled to Canada on numerous occasions with self directed travel. The more structured arrangements allow us all to enjoy what we hope will be a fabulous trip without at least one of us having to drive. We and our friends are looking forward to a fantastic time!

  We contacted Canada Travel Specialists by telephone and were introduced to Brian Walker. During the call we advised of our rough itinerary for Canada as first time visitors. Brian couldn’t have been more helpful and suggested a detailed itinerary and a reverse route proposal that was more beneficial to us. We have booked the holiday suggested by Canada Travel Specialists for May 2025 and look forward to our trip. The service provided by Brian to date has been excellent!

  After being very disappointed by the retraction of such a holiday offer by an alternative vendor I phoned Barrhead Travel and was then transferred to Brain who specialises in similar such holidays within Canada.
  
  After a short time not only was Brian able to almost replicate the previous offer and price but provided much more convenient flights out from Glasgow.
  
  Brian was also able to offer much valued information on documents required, our specific hotels and most importantly on the 4 night trek across the Canadian Rockies on “The Mountaineer” train having previously stayed and travelled the train himself.
  
  My wife and l are as yet to travel, but now feel very well prepared for our great adventure ahead.

  We recently returned from a holiday including an Holland America Alaskan cruise and the Rocky Mountaineer. It was a fabulous holiday, planned by Brian Walker. He listened, found our our preferences and organised our schedule ensuring all the amenities were to our taste. Brian was also very reassuring and helpful about any concerns. We also had several 'free' activities included. It was so easy throughout due to the organisation of the transfers and accommodations. We intend to use this company again.

  My daughter and I have just enjoyed the most amazing and wonderful adventure travelling both coasts of Canada. We have a long list of places we wished to visit plus a trip on The Rocky Mountaineer, and Brian Walker offered a most amazing schedule of activities in each location together with really appropriately positioned hotels to enjoy the very best of each place. He had to work within a timescale and budget limited by ourselves and he truly delivered in every aspect. All entrance tickets, tours, (of which there were many) and most transfers were all included.
  We consider ourselves really lucky to have found someone who listened, delivered and was able to offer so much in the way of excellent advice on what is best to see. I would highly recommend using Barrhead Travel in conjunction with Canada specialists to anyone wishing to visit Canada. The quote was very competitive and definitely ticked all our boxes.   Received excellent advice from Brian Walker regarding our Canadian holiday. (Toronto, Banff plus the Rocky Mountaineer journey to Vancouver. Everything went to plan , the hotels were excellent, both in the standard and location. Plus all transfers ran like clockwork and the tours were very well organised. The comprehensive documentation was most useful providing for a stress free holiday. So a big thanks to Brian and colleagues for organising the holiday.   We have just returned from our bucket list Canada holiday, starting at the Calgary Stampede, to Banff then onto Vancouver via the Rocky Mountaineer train!
  From the first enquiry through to sorting a connection query out whilst we were away, Brian was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble to organise for us and he shared so much useful information.

It comprised 3 nights in Banff, the Rocky Mountaineer to Vancouver, a 7-night Alaska cruise and 4 days on Vancouver Island at the end, all of which Brian organised down to the last detail. He was a mine of information and always available to answer questions and advise, with the result that, thanks both to what he did and how he did it, all we had to do was turn up at Gatwick and take it from there, fully confident that all would be as expected!   We have just booked a holiday for next year but need to give a massive call out to Brian for all his help and time spent on this.
  He was one of the few people we spoke to that really did listen and went the extra mile in tailor making an itinerary that was right for us.
  Having then agreed that itinerary and paid the deposit, the non availability of one element of the holiday meant he had to completely re-do the itinerary to make it work again, and he cared enough to check at just after 5.30 in the morning that everything was confirmed to be able to let us know immediately.

  Brian has been sincere , knowledgeable and patient in out experience booking our Rockies and Alaskan adventure . Several times his call to us had to be short and sweet due to family/ work commitment but he always called back as discussed and e mailed us regularly too update on trip itinerary . He listened to our needs and concerns and offered us good advice . Not sure about the Elk burger tho as a near veggie 😜
  The costs were extremely favourable and we will definitely be recommending to friends who are looking to do a similar trip .

  Our consultant, Brian, was excellent. He went through all options even when we were asking lots of questions and called back exactly when he said he would.
  He found answers to all our questions straight away and we were able to tailor our holiday there and then over the phone with no hassle. He found us the best price and gave us the cost of other options so we could compare.
  He understood our requirements and handled everything in a friendly, professional manner. He was knowledgeable and able to answer queries without the usual "I'll have to call you back about that", which was so refreshing.

  On first contact, CTS (Adla) understood our less-than-straightforward holiday plans and quickly produced an itinerary that met our needs. Although Adla was not present on the day we booked, her colleague, Brian, was able to complete the booking and take our deposit on her behalf. We obtained quotations from other agents, but the price quoted by CTS was up to 30% less than one competitor. Having used Barrhead Travel on several previous occasions, they have again delivered excellent customer service and a value-for-money deal.

  We met Brian for the first time this week probably at the worst time the travel industry and travellers have ever experienced. We have a holiday of a lifetime booked with Barrhead Travel and as you can imagine were extremely concerned about paying our balance and the possible outcomes.
  From the outset Brian was calm , in control and reassured us with his professionalism and optimism .
  He offered us options , one being to re-book for next year. We knew it would be a complicated task as it is a multi centre holiday with a train trip and cruise as well. Within two days he had it all done with every detail we had previously included.
  We were very impressed that it would all go ahead as planned and can only thank Brian for his determination in giving us the chance to experience the trip we thought may not happen.
