Welcome to the charming Greek resort of Kamari, one of Santorini’s most beach-focused locations.
In fact, it is home to one of the largest beaches in Santorini which measures up at two kilometres. It’s covered in soft, black sand draws in sun loungers to laze around in the heat of the day, cool off in the sparkling sea, and perhaps even try out some beach activities.
There are water sports on offer here for the active, and if you’re a keen diver, there’s the opportunity to see what a volcano looks like from under the sea.
If you want to explore the island, hop on a bus to the capital and dine in one of the tavernas carved into the cliffs with those proposal-worthy views. Or take a boat and explore some of the other resorts on the island. In the evenings, Kamari is lively but not excessively so.
