Kolymbari holidays have a lot in store! The little collection of whitewashed buildings, clustered around the fishing port at Kolymbari, might be one of the most quintessentially Greek sights there is. 

This small town feels rustic in its charm and is nestled in a picture-postcard perfect Cretan spot, with the rugged might of the Rodopos peninsula at the back of the resort and the sparkling blue seas towards the horizon. Kolymbari has a small stretch of sand with room for sunbathers and paddlers alike, and there are some great spots to explore around the town, including an ancient monastery just outside Kolymbari’s limits.

Life here is so relaxed it’s almost horizontal. In the village itself, there is a good selection of tavernas and a couple of shops selling all the necessary provisions, but you won’t find yourself wanting to move far from your sun lounger.
