Itinerary

Fly from UK to Toronto, on arrival transfer to your hotel.

A full day in Toronto to explore. We recommend you take a City-Tour and visit the Eaton Centre for some shopping, Chinatown, the CN Tower, the Old and New City Hall’s all have lots of photo opportunities.

Today you will head south travelling  around Lake Ontario , skirting the industrial towns of Oakville and Hamilton to the great natural wonder of Niagara Falls. Just imagine ton after ton of spraying ,foaming, rushing water thunderously plunging some 50+ meters downwards to the Niagara River below. Today you will also visit Niagara-on-the-Lake, home to the Shaw festival. Discover a small thriving community, proud to display a carefully preserved 19th Century atmosphere. Other highlights include lunch at a local restaurant ,admission to the Skylon Tower, the Floral Clock, the Whirlpool rapids and Queenston Heights and a thrilling boat ride on the Voyage to the Falls.

On arrival transfer to Banff and stay overnight.

Time to Explore Banff. If you’re looking for the best view, then the Banff Gondola is a must. Have your camera to see one of the most famous Canadian sites from the top of Sulphur Mountain. End your evening by dining out in downtown Banff.

Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the mountain town of Banff to Kamloops, in the heart of the British Columbia Interior. Your journey takes you through a spectacular array of scenery as you travel between the glacier and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across ranchlands to the Interior. Todays highlights include the Continental Divide, The Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie , where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven.

Overnight hotel accommodation in Kamloops. Breakfast & Lunch served onboard.

Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On todays journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the Interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley. Highlights include the steep sloes of rock sheds along the Thomson River and the rushing waters of the Hells Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening.

Free time today to explore Vancouver. Using your Hop on Hop Off bus pass explore this beautiful city. The highlights of which include stops at Stanley Park at the Totem Poles and Queen Elizabeth park. You will also travel by Chinatown, Gastown, Prospect Point and English Bay Beaches.

Morning at leisure. In the afternoon make your way to the cruise terminal at Canada Place where you will board Celebrity Eclipse for your 7 night Alaska Cruise.

The dramatic scenery of the Inside Passage has been shaped by glaciers for millions of years. The terrain here is verdant and vivid – mysterious forests blanket the towering mountains.

Go whale watching, learn Tinglit tribal customs, buy arts-and-crafts gifts, or fly high above Port Frederick on a 1.6km long zip-rider. Later, tuck into the best ever halibut and chips on the cookhouse deck of historic Hoonah Packing Company cannery.

Hubbard Glacier is the largest calving glacier on the North American continent. The glacier routinely calves off icebergs as high as 10-story buildings, sending massive blocks of ice into the sea every few minutes

Some sightseeing is best from above. View the majestic Mendenhall Glacier from the East Glacier Loop Trail, or sail 1,800ft aloft via gondola to Mount Roberts. The fresh air’s sure to whet your appetite so try out the local treat - crisp crab cakes.

Experience Eden firsthand. Kayak tranquil saltwater fjords fringed by ancient forests, keeping an eye out for black bear and playful porpoise. Tour the great outdoors by foot or bike, or whiz above ocean shores and never-ending forests by zipline.
