I have worked in the travel industry for 29 years and travelled to many places. My specialist destinations are Italy, Caribbean and Cruising. I have visited several places with my family, including Spain, Malta, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Florida, Turkey, Finland, Germany, Holland and done the Caribbean a couple of times.
I am travelling to Singapore and Thailand this year and cannot wait to explore the islands and live my dream. Having been to so many amazing places, it is really hard to pick a favourite place, however, I have to say I love Italy.
I have been 3 times and travelled all over Italy to Venice, Rome and my absolute favourite has to be Sorrento. The charm, Cuisine, Culture and most of all stunning Scenery and History is by far the best I have ever seen.
The cobbled streets of Sorrento offers such chic, sophisticated sea-side town for everyone. Not far to Visit by train is Pompeii, Amalfi coast, Positano and Mount Vesuvius which is a must see- volcanic ash. Two thousand years later, you can still see Pompeii’s citizens, frozen in time in the city's well-preserved ruins.
Working in travel is a dream job, and I love talking to customers about where they have been or helping them plan their next dream holidays..

Lindsay Rule the travel advisor at Barr Travel in Leigh was excellent, she took the time to find us a holiday that suited our needs at a price we would could afford. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Would definitely use Barrhead Travel again. We never felt under any pressure to buy a holiday and all our questions were answered. Full explanation of the COVID restrictions were explained to us and we were advised to visit again nearer our holiday for help and advice in filling in the necessary paper work.

Great customer service. We went into the Leigh branch and was greeted by Lindsay the assistant manager.We told her what kind of holiday we were after and one hour later we had booked a cruise for what we think is a cracking price. Lindsay was very friendly and professional and explained everything as we went through the booking process.All together a brilliant experience 10 out of 10

Good experience booking our next holiday. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful. Lindsay helped us to look at numerous destinations and managed to get us a good deal on a 10 day holiday to Madeira in 2023. Nothing is too much trouble to the staff at Barrhead travel in Leigh. Called into Barrhead travel in leigh to look for a flight for thiland, A lady called Lindsay rule took all the information down, And looked at every permatation to get me the best deal. It took a few days but Lindsay came up with a great deal,Everything was explained to me lindsay never put any pressure on me to buy. So because of the deal and the way Lindsay worked from start to finish I signed up.
