Penelope - Oyster 100
We are proud to include the recently launched Oyster 100 by Dubois, Penelope into the Oyster Charter fleet.
A performance orientated hull shape from Dubois, powered by a sport rig, carbon spars and North Sails Spectra Carbon sails, achieves outstanding performance even in the lightest of winds.
Penelope offers a class-leading amount of usable living space. Stepping on board for the first time you are immediately struck by the spacious, flush deck and overwhelmed by the incredible amount of interior volume. The accommodation layout offers three staterooms located aft of the saloon. The master cabin has a king sized bed and a private en-suite shower and head. The two family/guest staterooms have two large single beds, which are fitted on slide rails which can be pushed together to form a large double bed. A third fold down bed is also available. Each has a private head and shower.
A raised saloon offers a panoramic view and leads forward and down to a more intimate lounge and separate dining area. Forward of the main living area is the crew galley and two crew cabins.

Penelope Crew - David Lunn, Charlotte, Steven, & Ilse
Captain David Lunn - David grew up on Waiheke Island in New Zealand, an island famous for great beaches and Vineyards. Having grown up in these surroundings, working in the vineyard restaurants, a passion for both service and sailing developed.This passion for all thing’s nautical turned professional after leaving school and working on some of New Zealand’s busiest charter yachts, cruising the waters of the Pacific Islands. Venturing to Europe he found positions on some well-known yachts and worked up through the ranks to run some notable yachts both cruising and chartering in the Mediterranean and Caribbean
Chef Charlott Oddshammar - Charlotte grew up in the South of Sweden deeply involved in the equestrian world, competing at a national level before setting out to travel the world. She spent time in Australia, New Zealand and Asia before heading back to Europe where she worked in fashion in London. Finding she still had the bug for travel she decided to combine her passions for food and exploring new cultures. Having her first sailing experience crossing the Atlantic where she found a new passion that combined her interests in one. Cooking and sailing was where it lay!
Engineer Steven Samuel - Steven’s love for the ocean started while sailing and game fishing on the South African coast. From an early age, helping his father on the farm, Steve developed a passion for engineering, and over the last decade has been refining and developing new skills in the marine engineering field. He is excited to be aboard Penelope: in his words “it is not very often an engineer is able to work on such a beautiful and advanced sailing yacht that is both technical and a absolute joy to sail.”
Deckand/Stewardess Ilse Muller - Ilse grew up in the countryside of South Africa. Before her yacting career, Ilse obtained her Architecture degree after which it was time to bring a sense of freedom when she followed the yachting scene to satisfy her adventurous side. Ilse is a keen athlete and has played squash on an international level, apart from sailing other interests are scuba diving, horse riding, mountain biking, hiking and trial running.
