Langkawi Travel Guides

Langkawi is made up of 99 islands on Malaysia’s west coast. Surrounded by clear sea, the inland area of the main island is a mixture of spectacular paddy fields and jungle-clad hills. Nature lovers will find the island just as enticing as the shoreline is fringed by white powder sand beaches and swaying coconut trees.

The island is famous for its excellent diving sites and this exotic gem hides a wide range of other exciting activities. From the expansive Underwater World Langkawi along Pantai Cenang to the soaring Cable Car in Pantai Kok, Langkawi is a fantastic destination that keeps visitors coming back for more.

The best attractions in Langkawi make the most of the natural landscapes, expansive parks, and iconic structures that no first-time visitor should skip on their travel itinerary. Here are a few that they can enjoy:

A 125-metre-long bridge that curves out over the precipice and offers unmatched views of the verdant Gunung Mat Cincang, Telaja Tujuh waterfalls, and several islets surrounding Langkawi. Not for the fainthearted.

Dataran Lang

Dataran Lang, also known as Eagle Square, is a striking 12 metre-tall sculpture of an eagle poised to take flight is displayed atop an elevated platform. Set in Kuah, this prominent landmark is just a five-minute walk from Kuah Jetty, Jetty Point Mall, Taman Lagenda Dalam Langkawi, as well as numerous restaurants and duty-free shops

Gunung Raya

With an altitude of 881 metres, Gunung Raya is hailed as the highest peak in Langkawi. Gunung Raya is also a popular destination for hiking, but bringing a guide along is highly advisable as the trail can be quite challenging for novices.
