Itinerary

Upon arrival into Calgary International Airport, transfer by scheduled motorcoach to the beautiful mountain town of Banff where you will stay for the next 3 nights.  The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Today you will learn about the people, geology and wildlife of Banff while exploring the spectacular sights of this renowned mountain town. The highlight of this excursion is a journey on the Banff Gondola (included) for a 360º view of six mountain ranges that surround the town.  A brief stop will be made at Lake Minnewanka for photo opportunities.

Today is yours to explore this beautiful mountain town with its many coffee houses, artisan shops, and restaurants. Check out the spectacular Cave and Basin National Historic Site, or why not unwind in the famous therapeutic spring waters of the Upper Hot Springs? Overnight in Banff.

This morning, check out of your Banff hotel and transfer by coach to your next destination – the iconic Lake Louise with it's famous turquoise lake and the luxurious Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise perched on its edge. The remainder of the day is yours to explore at leisure.

Your tour today begins with a visit to incomparable Moraine Lake and the Valley of the Ten Peaks. This is one of the great photo opportunities in the Canadian Rockies. Cross the Great Divide into Yoho National Park via the scenic Kicking Horse Pass. Takakkaw Falls, in the magnificent Yoho Valley, will be the final stop before beginning the journey back to Lake Louise.

This tour also includes a BBQ lunch at Emerald Lake Lodge, light snack and refreshments.

Today you will travel onboard the famous Rocky Mountaineer from the mountain hamlet of Lake Louise to Kamloops in the heart of British Columbia. Your journey takes you through a spectacular array of scenery as you travel between the glacier and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the interior. Today’s highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, the Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie – where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. Overnight in Kamloops.

Your journey continues west today towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. You will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver.

Today is yours to discover this coastal city. Vancouver is a busy port city with a multi-cultural ambiance. We suggest the best way to explore is to take our 4 hour Vancouver City and the Lookout tour (price available on request). You will be introduced to downtown including Canada Place and Robson Street. Wind through historic and modern architectural wonders en route to Stanley Park, a 1,000 acre natural oasis, where you can view the First Nations Totem Poles.  Top off this adventure with a glass elevator ride 169 metres above the streets at the Vancouver Lookout, for views of the ocean, the Coastal Mountains, the city and rugged shoreline.

Check out of your Vancouver hotel and make your way independently to Vancouver Airport for your flight back to the UK.
