Itinerary

Today is yours to immerse yourself in Quebec’s Old Upper Town. Check out the UNESCO protected old walls at the Fortification of Quebec – you can either explore the 4.6km route for free or take a guided tour. Next, visit La Citadelle, which was started by the French in 1750 and completed by the British in 1850. We suggest you try lunch at Bistro sus le Fort.

Next, pass by and visit the most photographed hotel in the world, the Chateau Frontenac, on your way to the exciting Latin Quarter. While there, don’t forget to check out Basilique Notre-Dame-de-Quebec.

Head outside the city walls for a change of pace and a break from the cobbled streets. We suggest you visit the Porte St. Louis and the Parliament building, Battlefields Park and then enjoy lunch along Rue St. Jean. Spend the rest of the afternoon rambling around the St. Jean Baptiste area. You could enjoy dinner in one of the many restaurants there or find a spot closer to your hotel.

Spend today with a knowledgeable guide with Les Tours Voir Quebec. They have excellent tours on architecture, history and food of Quebec City. For something a little difference, take a nocturnal trip to find out about a side of Quebec that lurks in the shadows.

Today you will wave goodbye to Quebec City, so take some time and wander back to see your favourite place. Why not try one of the legendary brunch spots in the city for a last leisurely meal? We recommend Le Clocher Penche in Cartier St Roche.
