Itinerary

Collect your car at Vancouver Airport. Spend the rest of the day exploring this fascinating city which has so much to offer! Overnight in Vancouver.

Today, you catch the ferry over to Victoria, BC’s capital city. The ferry is a great way to enjoy the scenery with Vancouver on one side and the Islands around you. If you are lucky, you might even spot some whales on your way! Overnight in Victoria.

Your journey begins with the scenic sights of the city including a visit to the Craigdarroch Castle. After your time at the Castle, the next stop is the charming seaside village of Sidney, home of Victoria Distillers. At Victoria Distillers, you will be given a tour and witness how they make their gin. No visit would be complete without a tasting of local gins followed by a delectable Fairmont Empress lunch. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to do a wine tasting at Church & State Winery. Complete your day with a visit to the world famous Butchart Gardens!

Located less than 100 km from downtown Vancouver, the Fraser Valley is an agricultural wonderland. Over half the province’s agricultural activity is centered here, including nearly 30 vineyards and 15 wineries. The wineries are dedicated to producing some of the most acclaimed wine labels in the province, from unique fruit wines and delicious sparkling wines to fresh, fruit-forward table wines. The winery experience is not limited to tastings – several also offer culinary experiences such as farm tours and bistro dining.  1 night in Chilliwack.

Chilliwack is a vibrant community; rich in history, outdoor adventures and farm experiences. Wander the great outside on one of its numerous hikes, spend an afternoon golfing, or fish along the mighty Fraser River with a glass of wine from the area.

Today you will be picked up from your hotel to enjoy a winery tour of the Oliver wineries along the Black Sage bench and the Golden Mile where you choose the wineries you would like to stop at. You will visit 3 wineries before lunch. Gourmet lunch is included at one of the wineries and then after lunch you will visit 2 more wineries.

Don’t leave Osoyoos without stopping the natural phenomenon Spotted Lake. The surface of the lake is made up of 365 spots in the summer, which change shape, colour, size. “Try and spot the heart shaped circle in the middle. This place is so unique and something tourists rarely see.”
Make you way to southeastern corner of British Columbia, to Kootenay region, home to a pristine stretch of rivers, lakes, waterfalls, beaches, mineral hot springs, alpine meadows and snow-capped mountains. Although it is a relatively new viticultural area, ground crops were first planted in the region many years ago, which led to the cultivation of orchards and today, in select microclimates, grapes have been grown since 1995. 2 nights in Castlegar.

People come to Castlegar for the area's exciting outdoor recreation and parks. Cycling the fantastic Columbia and Western Railway corridor between Castlegar and Christina Lake is especially appealing, as well as golfing at the championship Castlegar Golf Club. Castlegar locals love their city and their sports, producing numerous special events and tournaments throughout the year. This is also a great place to stop and taste the wines they offer in the area.

Home to more than 25 wineries, this world-famous region has become synonymous with wine, and for good reason.  BC’s first vines were planted in Kelowna in 1859 by Father Pandosy. Kelowna also boasts the province’s oldest continually operating winery, Calona Vineyard (est. 1931). Many of the first families of the BC wine industry call this area home such as Gray Monk Estate Winery’s Heiss’ family, the Cipes of Summerhill Pyramid Organic Winery, and the Stewart family of Quails’ Gate Winery. Several wineries in the region also offer exceptional culinary experiences, some with year-round dining options. 2 nights in Kelowna.

Explore the hidden treasures of Kelowna’s Lakeshore Wine Route on a guided tour. From Cedar Creek Estate Winery, to St. Hubertus Estate Winery, to the replica of the Pyramid of Egypt at Summerhill Pyramid Winery and Tantalus Vineyard. It is an eclectic group of wineries to discover. Included are tasting and tours at 4 wineries, van transportation, complimentary chilled bottled water, coolers for wine storage, and wine guides.

Continue to be blown away with awe-inspiring scenery as you head back to Vancouver. Overnight in Vancouver

Your tour ends upon checkout from your Vancouver hotel. Spend some time buying last minute souvenirs before heading to the airport for your flight home.
