Fly UK to Calgary and transfer to your Banff hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure discovering the wonders of this iconic mountain town. Overnight in Banff.
Today is at leisure for you to explore Banff at your own pace. Outside of the town, dramatic Canadian scenery awaits you. Check out the Cave and Basin National Historic Site or take a walk along one of the many mountain trails. If you fancy some relaxation, why not go for a soak in the famous therapeutic waters of the Upper Hot Springs? Overnight in Banff.
Today is for you to once again explore Banff at leisure. Why not make this trip even more spectacular with a helicopter sightseeing tour over the vast peaks of the Canadian Rockies? Overnight in Banff.
Departing Banff in the morning, your first sightseeing stop will be at the world-famous Lake Louise. Walk to the lakeshore and marvel at the turquoise water, taking in the sights that drew early mountaineers here to pursue their climbing dreams. The remainder of your day will be spent packing in the key sights of the Canadian Rockies onboard your luxury coach.
Roger’s Pass, the highest point of the highway - and one of the biggest challenges for the Canadian Pacific Railway during their construction era - is part of the route. Just after the pass you will make a lunch stop (included) in the town of Revelstoke, founded in 1880. After lunch you will follow the railway line, making stops at unique vantage points along the way before arriving at your destination in downtown Kamloops - the historic, train-era, Plaza Hotel. Here you will have free time explore the quaint downtown scene and choose your dinner (not included) amongst the many restaurants nearby. Overnight in Kamloops
You will depart Kamloops after breakfast (included) and follow the Coquihalla Highway, which winds its way into the Cascade. The landscape changes dramatically as you climb from the Canadian desert area of Kamloops into the subalpine region of Coquihalla Pass and the imposing Cascade Mountains. After the pass we descend quickly into the Fraser River Valley where your surroundings become very green. En route we make a stop in Hope for a short rest and stunning views of the spectacular mountains around us. Dropping altitude quickly, the scenery changes from subalpine to the lush Fraser River delta, with the Coastal Mountains watching us from a distance. Your journey finishes mid-afternoon when we arrive in the bustling hub of downtown Vancouver. Overnight in Vancouver.
Spend your morning exploring Coastal Vancouver at leisure. Around noon, transfer to the cruise ship terminal by motor coach, and board the luxurious Celebrity Infinity for your 7-night Alaska Cruise.
As you dock at Icy Straight Point, there are dozens of activities that will allow you to experience the best of this famous destination. Go whale watching, learn Tinglit tribal customs, buy traditional crafts or fly high above Port Frederick on a 1.6km long ziprider for panoramic views of the savage Alaskan scenery. End your day by sampling some of the freshest fish around the world, and tuck in to the famous halibut and chips of the Hoonah Packing Company cannery.
The Hubbard Glacier is the largest calving glacier on the North American continent. The glacier routinely calves off icebergs as high as 10-story buildings, sending massive blocks of ice into the sea every few minutes. Watching the icebergs crash into the waves will be one of the most unforgettable experiences of your trip - make sure you have a camera on-hand to capture the moment forever.
Some sightseeing is best from above. View the majestic Mendenhall Glacier from the East Glacier Loop Trail, or sail 1,800ft via gondola to Mount Roberts for panoramic views of Alaska's capital city. The fresh air is sure to whet your appetite so try out the local treat - crisp crab cakes made from some of the freshest seafood available.
Experience Eden firsthand. Kayak tranquil saltwater fjords fringed by ancient forests making sure you keep an eye out for black bear and playful porpoise along the way. Tour the great outdoors by foot or bike, or whiz above ocean shores and never-ending forests by zipline. Ketchikan is the perfect destination for adventure lovers who want to get closer to Alaska's ever-changing landscapes.
The Inside Passage is one of the most scenic sea-lanes in the world, and one of the few where deep-draft vessels can sail close to steep mountain walls. The scenery is unbelievable, with lush forestry, tumbling turquoise glaciers, and towns loaded with history, culture and adventure. With most of Southeast Alaska accessible only by boat or plane, the Inside Passage is a lifeline to the outside world. Soak up the scenery in your second sailing along this fabled route, capturing the changing landscape as you go.
Wave goodbye to your unforgettable cruise as you disembark in Vancouver and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to discover more of this coastal city. Overnight in Vancouver.
Enjoy a full day at leisure in coastal Vancouver. You are free to enjoy Vancouver’s fabulous shopping, have a coffee at the city's famous harbour or search for a bargain at the Granville Island Markets. You could also take a trip up Grouse Mountain for spectacular views over the city - on a clear day you can see as far as Seattle! Overnight in Vancouver.
Your incredible holiday comes to a close as you check out of your Vancouver hotel and transfer to the airport to catch your flight back to the UK.
