Kamloops Holidays

Reference WW37895

When you visit Kamloops on your Canadian adventure holiday, you'll find a town located in the south-central interior of Canada's westernmost province of British Columbia. Situated on the banks of the Thompson River, the city was initially settled by the Cree First Nation in the early fifteenth century. It is rich with culture, and home to many galleries and artisans.

Kamloops has its own symphony orchestra as well as being well known for its public art, which includes several murals and native pole carvings. It is a hub of rail transport as well as having a small regional airport, and is located on the Trans-Canada highway system. A relatively small city at less than two hundred thousand in population; Kamloops is a destination for all seasons.

With its relatively mild winters, there is always plenty to do on the mountain. During the summer, there's no shortage of outdoor activities. From wildlife viewing, brewery and winery tours, railway history, farmers markets and water sports, there's plenty to keep you occupied.
