Kowloon Holidays

Translated into English as "Nine Dragons", Kowloon is named after eight mountains and a Chinese emperor. For many years the area remained largely undeveloped, used by the British mainly for tiger-hunting expeditions.

Today, Kowloon is a bustling area with many day and night markets, huge shopping centres, thousands of bars and restaurants and more. Kowloon offers a stark contrast to Hong Kong Island on the other side of Victoria Harbour. Kowloon has a distinctly Chinese feel with traditional laundries and restaurants but also with all the modern conveniences of all major cities.

There are many sights to explore in Kowloon from Victoria Harbour, Nathan Road to Avenue of the Stars. However, Kowloon is a fantastic area just to get out and explore without a particular plan!
