Bulgaria’s ski resorts best suit first-timers, beginners and intermediate skiers. Borovets and Bansko are Bulgaria’s largest ski areas, but advanced skiing is limited, with only 5km and 3km of black runs.
Across Bulgaria, there are après ranging from dancing on tables to traditional folk nights – head to Borovets for the loudest. The drinks are much cheaper than in the rest of Europe, so it’s great on a budget, too.
