Holidays to Son Bou

Welcome to Son Bou, the home of Menorca’s longest beach. If that’s not impressive enough, here are some more reasons you should consider Son Bou for your next beach getaway.

Just because it has an impressive beach doesn’t mean it’s busy; in fact, there’s plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Framed by a nature reserve with only a few beach bars nearby, the vibe here is more peaceful than party. The main town is family-friendly, where most restaurants have children’s menus.

When you do want to explore, you’re ideally located for day-trip to Alaior. This historic old-town dates back to 1304, and you’ll find yourself winding down narrow medieval streets that are lined with whitewashed houses and cafés. On route to Alaior, you’ll also stop by Torre d’en Gaumes, another pre-historic village. Also, both the current capital, Mahon, and the old capital, Ciutadella, are within easy reach.

For family fun, history and an authentic Spanish feel, visit Son Bou next time you travel. Speak to one of our in-store experts today about booking.

Top 5 Things To Do

Lounge on the Beach - What better way to relax than to sunbathe on the beach. The Platja de Son Bou is the main beach in the resort and arguably one of Menorca's best.
Cala Llucalari - A small beach cove not far from the resort. The cove offers beautiful views with it's dramatic cliffs and clear blue sea.
Taste the cuisine - While on the island it would be rediculous not to try some of the local delicious specialities.
Basílica paleocristiana de Son Bou - For any history buffs why not visit the remains of an ancient Christian basilica & necropolis built in the late 5th/early 6th centuries.
Cales Coves - The caves date back to the pre-talaiotic period. With stunning dramatic cliffs and swimming areas this is a great place to visit while in the area.
