Jandia Holidays
Fuerteventura is brimming with beautiful beaches – but the true beach lover will adore Jandia.
The beach here crawls along the coast for 32 kilometres, backed by dunes, lagoons, an attractive promenade and the Pico de la Zarza mountain range. The breeze that sneaks in from Africa also makes it a really popular spot for kite-surfing and windsurfing.
Jandia itself is home to modern hotels and restaurants, however it’s the connected Morro Jable that captures holidaymakers’ hearts. It’s a quaint fishing village that serves some of the best seafood in the Canaries. And remember to book yourself a day-cruise – dolphins are regularly spotted in the water.
Jandía Natural Park - This beautiful national park offers stunning views of the surrounding area with large mountains and streches of untouched beaches. This is a must see for those visiting the area.
Morro Jable Lighthouse - Situated on a long streach of beach this area is great for strolls and photo opportunities. The lighthouse (which is still active today) dominates the the beach front and there are also bars to sit and have a cool drink before making your way back into the resort centre.
Turtle nursery - A charity run turtle nursery that allows you to go and see these cute little creatures up close.
Morro Jable Harbour - Take a walk down by the harbour and gaze over all the boats. This area is also home to a great number of restaurants specialising in fresh fish.
Playa del Matorral - Enormous sandy beach offering something for every type of beach lover. The waves here are usually calm, so it's a good spot for swimming and water sports.
