The Greek village of Skala has gained something of a reputation for its historical sites and natural wonders, as well as being a super fun resort for holidays.
During your trip, you’ll discover Potamaki Beach, where cute loggerhead turtles come to lay their eggs and nest, as well as sites such as the 7th-century temple of Apollo and plenty of Roman ruins.
Then there’s the beach, a large strip of fine golden sand and shingle that dips gently into the clear blue sea, providing ample space for sunbathing, ball games and plenty of entertaining water sports. You’ll also find a good selection of cafes and restaurants in Skala.
All round, we couldn’t recommend a more well-rounded Greek village to visit. Whatever you like, there’ll be something for you to do here.
