The country’s largest city after Berlin and Hamburg, Munich has a population of around 1.5 million people and has become one of the most desired European cities to visit for tourists. The place to be for art galleries, museums and stunning architecture, this city is a wonderfully cultural location for those looking to learn about German history.

This is not the only selling point however, as Munich plays host to numerous sporting events, exhibitions, theatre shows and of course, the world-famous Oktoberfest festival attracts considerable interest from visitors worldwide.

Things to do:

Hofbräuhaus München - The world's oldest tavern is a home to Bavarian culture and is simply a must for any traveller to experience.
Allianz Arena - This 75,000 seat stadium is the home of FC Bayern Munich. Experience Germany's most decorated football team in action at this iconic stadium.
Neuschwanstein Castle - Opened to the public in 1886, 'the castle of the fairy-tale king' is a beautiful & historic relic left behind by King Ludwig II.
