My name is Joy and I'm based in the Burnley Store of Barrhead Travel.
I've been in the Travel Industry for over 36 years, starting my career at Althams Travel and working my way up to Store Manager.
I have loved travel all my life and there is nothing I love more than sending my customers off on their dream holidays based on my recommendations.
I love planning itineraries for customers and hearing about their adventures on their return from holiday.
I have visited many countries including most Greek Islands, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Croatia and many more in Europe.
My favourite Islands are Lesvos, Santorini and Mykonos which are all so different and beautiful in their own way. I would love to share some handy tips about places to stay, places to eat and places to drink along with the many excursions you can go on to make your holiday extra special.
Croatia is a personal favourite, it is truly spectacular and Split is a Unesco World Heritage city which has amazing character and is suitable for all ages.
I have also visited many far-flung destinations including Borneo, Mainland Malaysia,
India, Thailand, Seychelles, Mauritius, the United States and Dubai and would be delighted to share my knowledge and experience with my customers.
City Breaks are also a great passion of mine particularly Amsterdam which I have visited many times and can really help with places to stay, eat and drink.
I pride myself on my excellent customer service and have many customers who return year after year to book with myself and have become friends.

Trip to New York!

I have recently booked an amazing trip to New York with Joy. She provided lots of hotel options and made sure i found the perfect hotel for my stay. She even booked our New York City passes for much cheaper than online, and they allow us to queue jump! I could not recommend Joy enough if you are going to book a holiday. Great service and very helpful!
