I have been in the travel industry for almost 20 years and spent 12 of those years in a Management position.
I have always been extremely passionate about travel and experienced lots of different destinations, both with work and my own holidays abroad. My favourite destinations are Florida, New York and the Caribbean.
New York has is favourite City, I have visited several times and at different times of year, I have lots of recommendations the best places to stay and visit and tips on getting the best deals.
I have visited Orlando several times with my family and experienced Disney, Univeral and Seaworld as well as taking time to drive down the Gulf Coast. I have a lot of personal tips and recommendations I could make in this area.
One of my most magical trips was a day trip to Lapland, it was a truly unforgettable experience. From the husky dog sleighing, snowmobiling and meeting Santa in his own home, is was spectacular.
I have travelled to many places in Europe on both beach holidays and city breaks. I could make lots of suggestions on great places to stay from personal experience.
I also love planning UK trips for clients including holiday parks, lodges and coach tours. I like to experience UK holidays in between my travels overseas. My favourite trip so far has been the North Coast 500, such an amazing route to travel the scenery is spectacular.

Elaine took the time to understand what we wanted from a holiday and what key features would make it memorable, enjoyable and fit our timescale /Budget. Her attention to detail and listening to where we wanted to go and when we wanted to go, meant she secured us the best holiday, in the best location with the best accommodation and more importantly, at the best possible price. Having taken on board our shopping list within the first five minutes meant she covered every single detail within the shortest possible visit and then continued to keep us up to date with progress, issued us with tickets and made sure we were still happy with all the details previous to departure and followed all this up with a telephone call after our Holiday to check all had gone well and met our expectations . In summary , quick , painless, affordable and we now feel a valued customer of Elaine and Barrhead Travel ,can't recommend highly enough. Great service.
