Hi, I'm Jo.I have worked in the Travel Industry for 20 years starting as a Modern Apprentice for Thomas Cook/ Co-op Travel and now working for Barrhead Travel.I have had a passion for travel and holidays for as long as I can remember and love that I am able to make holiday dreams come true for my customers.I have travelled to many destinations throughout my career and love nothing more than experiencing different cultures. My most memorable holidays are visiting Disneyland Paris and Lapland with my little boy and seeing the Northern lights in Iceland which was definitely a bucket list experience for me.Out of all the destinations I have visited across the world Long haul is my speciality. I have visited many of the islands in the Caribbean you just cant beat relaxing in the Caribbean sunshine on the white sandy beaches with a cocktail in hand.Other long haul favourites of mine are New York & Las Vegas Everyone should get there at least once in their lifetime, with so many iconic sights to see and just to walk round soaking in the atmosphere is an experience in itself.I have also been lucky enough to travel around parts of the Far East. I was lucky enough to visit Malaysia on a work trip to Langkawi and Kuala Lumpur and that is where my love for this part of the world began. For my honeymoon I spent 6 weeks travelling around Thailand with a stopover on the way in Singapore. We travelled to Bangkok & Chang Mai where we visited an elephant sanctuary. Then onto the islands including Phuket, Phi Phi. Koh Tao, Koh Phanangan and Koh samui. I wanted to experience this as authentically as we could so we stayed in beach huts, hostels etc and even spent the night on an overnight sleeper train.One of the most fascinating places I have ever been to is Kenya where I did a 3 day safari in Tsavo East, nothing prepares you for the real thing, a sunrise safari seeing the amazing animals in their natural environment is truly breathtaking and something I'll never forget. More recently I have been to Lapland which I just cant explain its the most magical place I've ever been and a must for young families. Last year I went on a  work trip to Florida where we discovered everything there is to know about Universal and visited the lesser known area of Crystal River where we swam with manatees. I have recently returned from a family ski holiday to Avoriaz in France. I have also skied before in Bulgaria and Austria. I have just returned from an incredible work trip on Regent seven seas splendor, a 6*cruise line that is unlike any cruise ship I have been on before I have first hand knowledge and experience in all of these destinations and many more, it really is such a pleasure to be able book my customers their dream holidays.
