I have been lucky enough to work in the travel industry for over 30 years, starting when I left school as Modern Apprentice. I quickly worked my way up to being a Manager, which I have been now for the last 27 years.

I have travelled to over 40 destinations throughout my career, and I have thoroughly enjoyed them all. However, two of my standout favourites are Mexico, which I have visited 8 times and Greece, which I have been to dozens of times.

I have travelled to many different destinations in Mexico, but last year my family and I stayed at The Grand at Moon Palace just outside Cancun on the much quieter side, and it was out of this world. It is a 5* luxury hotel with 10 a la carte restaurants to dine in. However, the beauty of this hotel is that it is also perfect for families and my two teenage girls enjoyed air walks, dodgems, ten pin bowling, flow riders, and so much more.

My other favourite destination, Greece, is a far cry from the glitz and luxury of Mexico. Most Greek Island I have travelled to are very quiet, quite sleepy with centuries of history and traditional sugar-cube towns backing onto the gorgeous sandy beaches, which fringe the turquoise sea. I absolutely love Greek food, and the people are so friendly and laid back.

Every Island I have been to is different from the last one, but my favourite is Kefalonia which is a lush green island with no high rises and really beautiful beaches. There are many excursions you can do from this Island, but a must is the capital, Argostoli, where you can watch Greek dancing in the Market Square while eating delicious Greek food and sampling the local ouzo, and it is steeped in local history and culture.
