  From start to finish Scott McMillan was a fantastic adviser in helping us plan our trip to Canada to visit our son and girlfriend who had recently moved to Toronto. Having never travelled to Canada before, we were a bit daunted by booking ourselves. Over multiple emails and queries from me, Scott came up with a great itinerary for our trip. We were travelling as a couple and my Mum who is 75 so we had some quite specific requirements. Scott went out of his way to ensure we got everything we needed and the communication from him was exceptional. The whole trip went totally to plan - air and rail travel, hotels and excursion. Everything was spot on and I would not hesitate about booking via Scott in the future.

  We have been completely satisfied with all aspects of our holiday The customer service received from Canada Travel Specialists was brilliant and they were always available to answer questions or queries which arose. They booked our holiday within the budget given and the hotels were all excellent and in the centre of towns. We received all our paperwork as promised a week before departure and our issues with refunds are being dealt with promptly. We cannot fault the service received and would not hesitate to use them again for any holiday.

• Wedding Anniversary

  When planning our special trip to Canada and the USA to celebrate outer 25th Wedding anniversary, we never expected it to be the amazing once in a lifetime trip that it turned out to be!
  Scott's knowledge, professionalism and commitment to ensuring we had the best time was evident throughout.
  Our itinerary was fantastic and provided us with the best location, hotels and travel arrangements within our budget.

  came across them by complete accident, but glad i did. Sometimes you can look at too many websites and get varied conflicting information. Scott was on hand to make sense of my demands. A great sense of humour made me feel at ease and the booking process was very easy. After what seemed like a hundred emails back and forth to get the trip right, we eventually took the plunge, with no regrets so far. It seems Scott and his colleagues are quite clued up on Canada and i would definitely recommend them

  Having seen an advert in one of the daily papers, re holiday to Canada and Alaska decided to contact Canada Travel Specialists. Initially speaking to Scott who discussed tour/cruise advertised, change of flights etc. Scott looked at alternative flights, best deals etc.Placed no pressure on booking the trip, there and then.
  Holiday booked, low deposit- bonus.
  My no fault to Scott or Canada Travel Specialists, changes re the rail trip and flights but again Scott looked at alternatives and again left final decision to me.
  Being a golden oldie I had some difficulty proving Holland America with pre cruise details and printing off cruise check in papers but one telephone to call and he sorted things out for me. Nothing seemed to be 'too much trouble' courteous and patient whenever I needed assistance as we're other members of his team in his absence. Brilliant service offered.
  This review was completed upon my return from holiday and everything went according to plan.

  Scott McMillan organised our trip to Canada & Alaska. He was really helpful with all our questions prior to our trip. We had an excellent holiday with a mix of road & train (Canada) and cruise ship (Alaska). It was truly amazing and thanks to Scott it all went very smoothly and to plan.
  We are seasoned travellers and would easily rate this as our number 1 holiday to date.

  Scott was tremendous in organising our trip to Canada, the whole adventure lived up to expectation and more.
  The highlight was the Rocky Mountaineer, the scenery, the food and the service was excellent. Finally our stay in Vancouver was special and a great location hotel.

  Scott organised our trip and we had an amazing time and the schedule and timing was excellent, great weather throughout (except maybe Vancouver!). We hired a car in both Jasper and Banff which was essential (and cheap) which allowed us to see so much more. The staff on the RM couldn’t have been more welcoming and the journey great (although 2 days on a train is enough). People were extending their holidays to take in cruises etc but we felt 9 nights was enough and very doable, itinerary and administration were faultless, thanks for a great trip. I am delighted with the service provided by Barrhead Travel and Scott in particular and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone contemplating a visit to Canada and especially the Rocky Mountaineer.

  Scott McMillan coordinated our travel to Canada. Despite mistakes on our original itinerary (Scott was away) the service provided by him was nothing short of outstanding. All the transfers were on time and the complex holiday itinerary went ahead without any problems. I have left a fuller review on Trip Advisor. Overall, I am delighted with the service provided by Barrhead Travel and Scott in particular and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone contemplating a visit to Canada and especially the Rocky Mountaineer. • Dream trip!

  No idea where to visit in Canada so contacted travel agents and drew a blank. Noticed on the web Canada Travel Specialists. I rang them and talked to Scot in their Glasgow office.
  I hit the jackpot --Scot was able to put together for us a great itinerary as he had been to all the places so knew exactly what we were looking for.
  He gave us confidence and was so positive about the trip we booked there and then. Also, he was able to get discounts on Flights trains etc.
  Having now returned back home I can say that everything Scot told us happened --it was slick and we had a great time.
  This holiday would not have happened if we had not talked to Scot as we were about to give up on the idea.

• Bucket list trip - Amazing!

  “Alaska was on our bucket list and as was only seven days we asked Scott McMillan if he could maybe put together a few days on top of our cruise. So using his expertise and knowledge he gave us 3 days in Vancouver, 2 days up in Whistler on to the cruise and then due to flight route cancellation we had to go via Toronto asked him if there was anything he could do for a few days in Toronto so we had 3 days there. We went with our friends and all the trips and transfers were spot on and went like clockwork. We loved every minute of our holiday and have many happy memories and a big part of that was down to the organisation From Scott who must have first-hand knowledge and can definitely be called a Canada Travel Specialist. Thank you, Scott, we would have no problem recommending your services.”

  “We contacted Canada Travel Specialists over a year before our intended holiday, and the wonderful Scott McMillan guided us through the whole process. He had travelled the routes and was very informative with suggestions for us to include in our itinerary. Scott was always very helpful and tolerant if we had any questions or concerns and we considered ourselves very lucky to have him on our side.
  We had the most wonderful trip from Calgary through the Rockies, onto the Rocky Mountaineer Train, (brilliant!) to Vancouver and onto Celebrity X to cruise to Alaska along the inside passage.We have just returned and have seen many wonderful sights and added to lovely memories. We thank you for all your advice and help Scott and would definitely recommend your services”
