Barrhead Travel is one of the UKs largest independent travel agencies. Over 33 years we have built up a reputation of providing very competitive travel without compromising on our service. What we offer as a large and independent travel agency...
The majority of high street travel agencies are owned by a tour operator and therefore have a tendency to to sell more of their parent companies holidays. As a truly independent travel agency Barrhead Travel can source travel from any travel company or tour operator. We therefore have access to a larger range of holidays and travel - making it more likely for you to find the travel you've been looking for, and a price you'll be happy with.
Furthermore, our staff are also trained to "package up" travel components themselves. Therefore along with comparing package holidays from tour operators, we'll look to see if its cheaper to buy flights and accommodaiton seperately from airlines and hotel owners.
We also have our own range of holidays where we act as the tour operator - offering incredable value at resorts that have been checked first hand by our staff.
None of the drawbacks of an independent travel agency...
The downside to being an independent travel agency is size - most are much smaller than high street (usually tour operator owned) travel agents. This means that there buying power tends to be less, and therefore they don't get the best deals from tour operators.
