Choose to stay in historic
Stowe village, where the first hotel opened in 1848, or on
Mountain Road, closer to the slopes. Stowe, Vermont is the
quintessential New England Ski Village. The town boasts over
50 restaurants and pubs and over 90 shops and boutiques. Stowe
has been voted the best Eastern US ski resort by Ski magazine
for 5 years in a row! The terrain is unlike any other - from
long, meandering meadows to hair-raising drops through tight
forests. The mountain has lots of challenges - this is where
Jake Burton (of Burton snowboards) and his employees practise
their turns - but it is also varied, with plenty of welcoming
slopes.
