Beaver Creek's has a range of bars and restaurants, most of which are usefully found around the main pedestrianized square. The centre holds an open-air ice rink, perfect for those winter evenings.

Recommended is the Mexican restaurant by the lift in Vail Village. Die-hard skiers looking for a hearty lunch will love the Smoke House, where the Cream of Chicken soup is a real hit. The recently refurbished Two Elk Lodge has spectacular views, or you can eat rösti and other Alpine dishes at the Koltenburg Castle at Lionshead. In town, get the ultimate dining thrill for around $80 a head at Wildflower in the Lodge Hotel.
