Not being the main tourist destination of Majorca, Alaro is a little tucked away offering the thrills of a Majorcan holiday whilst blending in with the locals and experiencing the real and authentic flavour of Spain – without the thousands of tourists blocking up your holiday.
As Alaro is placed right inland, you can be sure that the surrounding country side is beautiful, with no high rising hotels ruining the unspoilt land which has been made up of peaks, pines and plains.
Having such a beautiful land, many people fancy their chances at hiking and most choose to follow the route up to the Puig des Castell. Puig des Castell is a rocky area which has been crowned by an old and ruined fortress that used to stand tall – however it still stands at 800 meters above sea level so it will be a steady climb to the top.
