Praia da Luz Holidays

On the south coast of Portugal, this beautiful holiday hot spot is the perfect location for a holiday to remember. The beach has been awarded a blue flag for its cleanliness and its facilities – the fact its own full time professional lifeguards all year round would have helped tremendously to this accolade. Towards one end of the beach, you can see some ancient volcanic activity known as the black rock by the locals. The original church in Praia da Luz was damaged badly in 1755 during an earthquake but has since been rebuilt which is definitely worth a look inside. If you wake a walk throughout the village, you will find many remnants that the Romans left here in 210 BC, there is an aqueduct, roman walls and if your lucky enough to find some, some mosaic tiled floors.
