The shopping is superb, the beaches are busy and there is a long palm-fringed promenade to see and be seen on. Playa del Ingles is altogether given over to holiday good living. Within its compact 2 sq mls is a dense concentration of accommodation, restaurants, bars and nightlife. The commercial centres of the resort, appeals to the fun-loving nightbird with their multitude of bars and clubs . The resort merges to the west and south with Maspalomas, an extensive area of residential estates. Heading in the opposite direction, along the coast eastwards towards the airport, is the adjoining and more select resort of San Agustin.
