Luxor
Drive to the the Temples of Karnak and visit this nearly 200-foot-long temple featuring three bark chapels, a hypostyle hall of eight columns. This elegant temple was begun by Amenhotep III and largely completed by Ramses II, though later builders added to it, including Alexander the Great and several Roman emperors. An avenue of sphinxes once connected it to Karnak Temple almost two miles away.
