About Faliraki

Faliraki is a large, lively resort with great beach life and plenty of amenities close at hand. Shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife abound, and there are also some good, traditional Greek tavernas. The largest of the Dodecanese, Rhodes (or Rodos) has become an important regional centre, thanks to its location, climate and natural attractions. Faliraki is a self-contained holiday town set around a long curving bay with an almost unspoilt skyline thanks to the fact that most of the hotels and apartments are set back from the seafront. It is becoming big on the 18-30 circuit and therefore not recommended for anyone wanting peace and quiet. The island's main road cuts through the heart of town and gets extremely busy, also noise from traffic and music may disturb light sleepers staying in the town centre. With a waterpark complex on the doorstep plus go karts and bungee jumping the only reason people venture further afield is for a shot of Greek culture at Rhodes Town, 20 minutes away. Boat trips to Lindos are also popular. The main street through Faliraki is lined with souvenir shops offering all the usual tat. Dozens of music bars plus a handful of clubs ensure the action keeps going from night 'till light!!
