Cruise & Maritime Voyages

Cruise & Maritime Voyages are Britain’s newest privately owned cruise line and 2012 heralds there third year of operating ex-UK no fly cruises. By autumn 2011,Cruise & Maritime Voyages we will have carried over 80,000 mainly British cruise passengers with 95% of there guests this year rating the enjoyment of their cruise experience either excellent or good. High praise indeed!

Cruise & Maritime Voyages believe there ships offer a more leisurely and traditional home from home style of cruising with the emphasis very much on personal service and going that extra mile. Cruise & Maritime Voyages will continue to deliver what they think the public want; value matched by quality with attentive and friendly service, a variety of great big show and daytime entertainment within a real maritime experience visiting lots of interesting places and more remote ports of call not always accessible by the larger resort ships.
Marco Polo

Marco Polo

The 22,080grt Bahamian flagged Marco Polo with her handsome traditional profile, beautiful teak decks and distinctive dark blue hull is a classic ocean liner. She can accommodate up to 820 guests within a warm and friendly atmosphere that reflects a truly intimate cruise experience. Her wide range of public facilities include the impressive Waldorf Restaurant offering a traditional two sitting fixed time dining option and, as an alternative more informal experience, the stylish Marco’s Restaurant. There are five main lounge areas. The Magellan Deck offers the theatre style Marco Polo Lounge; the elegant Captain’s Club, a perfect venue for pre-dinner cocktails with the resident pianist; the relaxing Palm Garden, a quiet spot with wonderful panoramic ocean views; and the stylish Columbus Lounge where the head barman will soon get to know your favourite drink. Completing the quintet is Scott’s Bar, located on Amundsen Deck, an ideal spot for night owls.

Ocean Countess

Ocean Countess

Following a £3 million pound refurbishment programme, Ocean Countess joined the Cruise & Maritime Voyages fleet in April 2010 under charter from the widely respected and long established Majestic International Cruises Group who also operate the popular Ocean Majesty, well known to the British market. The ship originally entered service as the Cunard Countess and became one of the best-known ships to sail the Caribbean Sea.
With her distinctive traditional profile, the 17,593 grt Ocean Countess has seven passenger decks, a generous amount of deck space, is stabilised and air conditioned throughout, and accommodates about 800 passengers in comfortable surroundings. She is the perfect size for accessing more remote ports of call and provides excellent service standards within a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

On board public facilities include the comfortable Holyrood Show Lounge and the Tower Piano Bar on Lido Deck with its panoramic views, well-stocked library and card tables - a delightful venue for pre-dinner drinks and to chat with fellow passengers after another wonderful day ashore. By contrast, Hamptons is the place to be for late night entertainment and to try your luck in the casino. Ocean Countess offers traditional two sitting dining in the Kensington Restaurant or, as an alternative, enjoy buffet-style meals at the Boat House on Upper Deck or a light lunch by the pool on Lido Deck (both subject to weather conditions).

In addition, Ocean Countess provides a shopping gallery, internet café and the Jade Wellness Centre with a gym and sauna. Be pampered with a spa or massage treatment or make use of the hairdressing and beauty facilities. She offers extensive deck areas with traditional deck games or to sit and relax with a good book from the library and a drink from the pool bar. On Lido Deck there is a generous size heated swimming pool and two whirlpools to enjoy.
